LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Caroline Banszky, managing director of the Law Debenture Corporation has sold almost £343,000 worth of shares in the investment trust and independent fiduciary services provider.
Bankszky sold 20,000 shares at 490.46p; 40,000 at 490.16p and 10,000 at 489.17p. The former operations director at SVB Holdings and ex NM Rothschild finance director still has 194,420 shares in the company she joined in 2002.

At the company's half-year results at the end of last month the company declared an interim dividend of 5.2p, flat compared to the last year and to be paid on 9 September 2016 to holders on the record date of 12 August, of which Bankszky will now miss out part.

Law Debenture's net asset value total return for the six months to 30 June 2016 was 1.5%, underperforming the 4.3% for the FTSE Actuaries All-Share Index as its long term debt as was hit by the slump in gilt yields.

Net revenue per share was 10.49p, 2.4% lower than the 10.75p a year ago.

On the outlook, the company said: "Our relative performance (compared to peers in the global sector and the benchmark) has suffered badly since Brexit, largely because of our exposure to sterling.

"However, so long as the companies we are invested in have competitive products, good management teams, undemanding valuations, low debt levels and cash generative capability, they ought to weather this storm and should be well placed to deal with the post-Brexit economic turbulence."
