LONDON (ShareCast) - Peter Ventress, a Non-Executive Director of Premier Farnell has acquired a stake in the technology distribution company totalling 15,000 shares.

Ventress, who joined the board at the start of October, paid 234.59p a share, giving the transaction a total trade value of £35,188.50.

The firm has been pretty quiet since mid-November when it released a postive third quarter update revealing a 3.3% rise in group sales, driven by improved gains across all divisions.

In the statement the group said that sales trends during the three months improved across the business compared to the first half, despite the impact of the US Federal government shutdown on the Americas.

Since then it has been focused on optimising its financial performance and expects its full-year operating margin would be broadly similar to that achieved in the first half.
