LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Zinc Media Group announced on Thursday that its Tern TV division has been awarded the contract for BBC One's Sunday Morning Live programme, following an open competitive tender launched in September.
The AIM-traded firm said Tern, in partnership with Green Inc, secured the two-year BBC commission worth £2.75m - its largest commission to date, and the group's first live programme.

It said the commission would see the weekly BBC magazine show extend to two series per year.

The series, which would be made by Tern TV Belfast, would accelerate growth of the company's Northern Ireland business.

"This is another milestone moment for the group and for Tern TV in Northern Ireland," said chief executive officer Mark Browning.

"Winning this contract propels the group into live television.

"It vindicates our investment in nations and regions production and provides a bedrock of forward-booked revenue from which to further grow our production business."

At 1254 GMT, shares in Zinc Media Group were up 6.95% at 85.56p.
