LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Shares in Petards Group jumped 8% early on Monday, after the advanced security and surveillance system producer revealed it won a contract worth over £1m with Bombardier Transportation.
Under the terms of the agreement, the London-listed company will supply its eyeTrain saloon and Driver Only Operation systems, which will be fitted to new four-car ELECTROSTAR Electrical Multiple Unit trains to be built by Bombardier.
In a short statement released on Monday, Petards said it expects deliveries to begin next year and to be completed by the end of 2016.
"This order adds to the hundreds of ELECTROSTAR vehicles for which eyeTrain systems have previously been specified and further bolsters the Group's present order book for delivery in 2016," said group chairman Raschid Abdullah.
Petards shares were up 8% to 13.50p at 0824 on Monday.
