LONDON (ShareCast) - Three Diploma directors have all disposed of a number of performance related shares post-exercise.

The shares, which vested at the end of September, were sold at 676p each.

Chief Executive Officer Bruce Thompson traded in 110,000, earning £743,600, Chief Operating Officer Iain Henderson sold 30,000, pocketing £202,800, while Nigel Lingwood, Group Finance Director, earned £394,446 from the sale of 58,350.

Meanwhile, Alent board member Lars Förberg, who is one of the chemical company's non-executive directors and also a co-founder of major stake holder Cevian Capital, yesterday further increased Cevian's stake in the business with the acquisition of 41,521 shares at 321p each.

The £133,282 purchase is in addition to the 4.3m shares acquired earlier in the week.

Swedish-born Förberg, who joined Alent's board in October 2012, now has an interest in more than 60m shares in the company, equal to a 21.55% stake, all of which is held by international investment firm Cevian Capital.

The purchases saw Förberg take advantage of the decline suffered by Alent's share price in the past couple of months. Earlier this month the group revealed third quarter trading had been "slightly" below its expectations, having said in its half-year results that it expected an improvement in the second half.
