LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Healthcare IP commercialisation firm NetScientific on Wednesday announced that portfolio company Wanda has completed a major enhancement of its patient management platform.
Wanda, in which AIM traded firm NetScientific holds a 62% stake on a fully diluted basis, has an existing platform which has been shown to predict 90% of patient-level adverse events up to seven days in advance of their occurrence, according to NetScientific.
The new system includes personalised reminders and alerts, which can be pre-scheduled and delivered to patients via multi-modal communications, and a cloud text-to-speech application programming interface from Google that uses machine learning to deliver natural-sounding human voice automation.
A company statement said the changes provide a "highly intelligent method" to avoid the costs of unplanned readmissions and emergency department visits due to nonadherence.
Francois Martelet, NetScientific's chief executive and chairman of Wanda, said: "Wanda's enhancements to its core technology mean that relationships between clinicians and patients will continue to improve, and will empower patients to take a more active role in the management of their diseases as well as increase their quality of life."
NetScientific's shares were down 1.33% at 38.00p at 1435 BST.
