LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Eckoh has secured a major three-year contract with The Co-operative Group for its secure payment solution CallGuard.
The AIM-listed global provider of secure payment solutions said Wednesday the deal will see CallGuard implemented throughout The Co-operative Group's contact centres in its electrical, legal services, group finance and funeral divisions.

The announcement said the divisions take in excess of 250,000 calls per year through approximately 125 customer service representatives.

Eckoh's platform will enable agents to take payments securely over the phone whilst remaining on-hand to guide customers through the payment process, without operators accessing customers' payment card data.

The Co-operative Group's James Cullen said it was important that customers have peace of mind.

"Many of our customers and members like to pay over the phone and Eckoh's CallGuard solution allows us to enhance our security further.

"CallGuard enables us to proactively deliver the best possible service to our customers, while simultaneously protecting them."

Shares in Eckoh rose 1.25p to 41.75p at 1021 BST.
