LONDON (ShareCast) - The Chairman of Canada-based oil and gas group Bankers Petroleum has sold an additional 250,000 shares, the company announced on Friday, his latest in a series of large disposals over the last two weeks.

Robert Cross sold the shares on June 19th at a price of 2.95 Canadian dollars per share (around 184p), raising a total of $737,500 (c£460,000).

Including the sale of a further 500,000 shares through two transactions on June 17th and June 11th (at different prices), the Chairman has raised a total of C$2.16m (£1.34m).

The stock is now currently at around the same level as it was at the start of 2013 - despite swinging between a 160-215p range – but still stands nearly 50% higher than where it was last June.

Bankers last month revealed that oil revenue had jumped 29% in the first quarter to US$132.6m and net income had jumped 83% to $14.2m.
