LONDON (ShareCast) - Online video company Forbidden Technologies has announced that its first FORscene Server Lite software client, Pegasus Works, is now using the new software in its corporate work-flows.
Forbidden believes the developments that were made to support the Pegasus work-flows through FORscene will prove attractive in the corporate environment, particularly where a rack-based server is not needed and a more lightweight, mobile solution is appropriate.
FORscene Server Lite is a software version of the broadcast-grade FORscene Server Linux, used to compress and upload video, audio and graphics into the cloud (i.e. remote servers accessed via the Internet). Pegasus uses FORscene Server Lite on laptops, at events and film shoots around the world. As software on a standard PC FORscene Server Lite can be used by Pegasus internationally without the need for carnet documentation at customs.
Stephen Streater, Chief Executive Officer of Forbidden Technologies, said: "The use by Pegasus of FORscene for editing highlights its versatility and its growing role as a cloud video editing platform. Supporting efficient video work-flows, FORscene is an attractive option in a growing number of fast-turnaround professional sectors."
