LONDON (ShareCast) - Forbidden Technologies, the owner and developer of the cloud video platform FORscene, has announced that that it has partnered with Windows Azure Media to promote cloud video workflows at its 2013 International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), in Amsterdam, which starts this next September 13th.
Judging by investors' reaction that may mark a significant and positive endorsement for the company.
The AIM-listed company’s editing suite, when used together with the Windows platform, allows for remote, browser-based editing of footage.
This near-time clipping of live footage for global video on-demand delivery will be of particular interest to sport rights holders and news organisations, the company adds.
Windows Azure Media Services is an open and flexible multi-tenant cloud platform that enables customers that allows customers to build end-to-end media solutions on top.
Stephen Streater, Chief Executive Officer at Forbidden Technologies, highlighted that: "[…] Clients in the sports and news markets will have access to a set of integrated editing and publishing tools allowing them to reach the widest possible audience, quickly and cost effectively."
Similarly, Sudheer Sirivara, Partner Director at Windows Azure Media Services, highlighted FORscene's use by sports broadcasters in 2012 to enhance their coverage of the major sporting events of the summer as key proof of how its platform can effectively mesh with solutions from a variety of leading technology providers, such as Forbidden Technologies.
As of 14:11 shares of Forbidden Technologies are rising by 7.41% to 29p.
