LONDON (ShareCast) - The Chief Executive Officer of Diageo, the FTSE 100 drinks giant, has sold another slice of his stake in the company, reducing his holding to 729,582 shares.

Paul Walsh, who was appointed to the role of CEO in 2000, traded in 20,000 shares for 1,850.00p each, worth a total of £370,000.

The transaction follows another made just last week, when he sold 50,000 shares at 1,801.00p each for a total of £900,500.

Back in September it was revealed that the CEO's annual remuneration more than doubled to £11.2m, largely as a result of the soaring share price, which is up more than 43% over the past year, a rise equal to 570p.

Of his total pay packet, 72% was related to the performance of the company's share price.
