LONDON (ShareCast) - San Leon Energy’s Exploration Director John Buggenhagen is stepping down after four years on the board.

Buggenhagen has decided to return to the US to pursue new opportunities.

He will be leaving the company but will continue to offer advice on strategic decisions.

Two explorations managers in the group’s technical office in Warsaw will take over Buggenhagen’s workload.

"I am proud to have developed San Leon's portfolio and exploration team to their current strong positions, and look forward to seeing the successful commercialization of the assets," he said.

"The technical management and staff have my full confidence to pursue this, and I look forward to my continued involvement at such an exciting time."
