LONDON (ShareCast) - The founder of Bellzone Mining, which develops two Iron ore and nickel/copper assets in Guinea, West Africa, has sold 50m shares in the company.

Nikolajs Zuks, who has been the company's Managing Director since August 2009, disposed of the shares at 17p each for a total of £8.5m.

As a result, Zuks now holds 247.35m in the company, equal to 33.9% of the issued share capital.

The shares were purchased by China Sonangol International Singapore, taking its stake to just under 178.84m shares, equal to a 24.5% stake.

Glenn Baldwin, Chief Executive Officer said: "This transaction demonstrates China Sonangol's long term commitment to Bellzone."

Shares in the company have fallen 44.55%, equal to 11.25p, over the past 12 months.
