LONDON (ShareCast) - David Broadbent, the Finance Director of home credit firm International Personal Finance (IPF), has sold a small stake in the firm after exercising options.

Broadbent, who has been in his position since 2007, exercised a total of 65,575 share options under the company's share option plan and performance share plan, the firm said on Tuesday.

He subsequently sold 29,936 of them to cover option costs and taxes at a price of 623p per share for a total of £186,501.

Of the 35,639 left over, 2,500 were transferred to his wife Sharon.

The couple's combined holding increased to 62,611 shares following the transaction, equal to 0.025% of the company.

The move came just two weeks after IPF's first-half results in which pre-tax profit jumped 35% to a record £42.3m.

The stock has jumped over 60% so far in 2013.
