LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Investors are likly to continue to focus on the Chinese coronavirus amid a lacklustre economic calendar around the world.
Stateside, the main attraction will be speeches from Dallas Fed president, Robert Kaplan, at 1415 GMT, and another from Fed governor Randal Quarles on the economic outlook just after midnight.

Across the Channel, the focus would be on a report for factory orders in Germany a 0700 GMT, followed by the European Central Bank's monthly bulletin at 0900 GMT.

ECB chief Lagarde and her number two, De Guindos, were also set to deliver speeches.

Further afield, central banks in India and the Philippines were set to decide on interest rates.

No major economic releases were scheduled for release in the UK.

Among the corporates that are due to update markets on Thursday is fund manager Ashmore Group.

UBS analyst Michael Werner is anticipating first half sales of £171.0, which would make for a 12.0% gain year-on-year, driven by management fees from growth in assets under management.

Six-month earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation were seen 12.0% higher versus the comparable year earlier figure, with earnings per share expected to climb 35.0% to 13.7p.
