LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Bank Of Georgia chief executive Kakhaber Kiknavelidze purchased 15,000 ordinary shares in the FTSE 250-listed lender on Friday.
Kiknavelidze, who took over as CEO back in 2016, acquired the shares at an average price of 1,359.67p each, for a total value of £203,950.50.

Earlier in the day, BGEO announced that its banking subsidiary, JSC Bank of Georgia, has been recognised as the best bank of 2018 in Central and Eastern Europe by The Banker.

BGEO said one of the criteria for selection was the bank's successful transformation from a product focus to a client-centric business model, which had resulted in more effective tailor-made services through the Bank of Georgia's multi-brand strategy, according to the board.

As of 1625 GMT, BGEO shares had climbed 3.82% to 1,360p.
