LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - WH Ireland's new non-executive director Simon Lough purchased 94,880 ordinary shares in the investment management last week.
Lough, who joined the AIM-listed outfit from wealth management business Heartwood on 29 March, acquired the shares at an average cost of 48p each, for a total value of £45,542, on 17 April, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The broker's newest board member now owns 215,001 ordinary shares, representing 0.50% of the company's issued share capital.

WH Ireland warned back in February that higher than expected costs and "challenging" market conditions were likely to affect its results for the year ended 31 March.

The increased number of one-off costs was attributed to the wealth management and corporate broking company's transformation strategy, while there was said to be a "strong pipeline of new business" that makes the board optimistic for the future.

As of 1620 BST, WH Ireland shares were up 3.58% at 49.72p
