LONDON (ShareCast) - Materials technology group Ilika has taken a step forward in its plans to launch a “world-first” solid-state battery.
The group has secured a contract with an existing European customer for solid-state batteries in wireless sensor network applications.
The project, which is expected to last six months, takes the level of revenue for the current financial year to £0.6m, ahead of £0.215m revenue at the same point last year.
Chief Executive Officer Graeme Purdy said: "Whilst we are confident this particular original equipment manufacturer is capable of delivering commercial revenues for Ilika, we remain in discussions with several other parties to ensure the success of our innovations and look forward to updating the market on our progress in due course."
