Tertiary Minerals pleased with recent trenching results

By Josh White

Date: Thursday 03 Jun 2021

LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Tertiary Minerals reported on Thursday that assay results from a recent trenching programme showed a thick zone of open-ended silver mineralisation in trench 1 at the North Ruth soil anomaly on the Pyramid Gold-Silver Project in Nevada.
The AIM-traded firm said six trenches were completed for a combined length of 360 metres of trenching.

It said trench 1, through the northern portion of the North Ruth anomaly, cut a continuous width of 45.72 metres, grading 61 grams of silver per tonne, or 1.78 ounces per ton.

That included 9.14 metres grading 146 grams of silver per tonne, or 4.26 ounces per ton, with the company reporting that the silver mineralisation continued to the end of trench 1, and was open-ended.

Trench 2, 460 metres along strike, included three metres grading 260 grams of silver per tonne, or 7.58 ounces per ton.

Narrower zones of lower grade mineralisation were found in three other trenches on the Western Line soil anomaly, the board added, with infill soil sample results being awaited for the southern part of the project area.

"This is a very exciting discovery, and the result of systematic exploration undertaken over the past 12 months," said executive chairman Patrick Cheetham.

"It is now clear that the North Ruth soil anomaly reflects the presence of a wide zone of good grade in situ silver mineralisation which is at surface and within which there may be significant widths of higher grade.

"The mineralisation intersected in trench 1 is not closed off and while the true width of this zone remains to be determined, we will move as quickly as possible to carry out further definition and drill-testing to establish this and also the continuity of the higher-grade zones."

At 1054 BST, shares in Tertiary Minerals were up 4.06% at 0.33p.
