LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - AIM-quoted software-as-a service firm Dotdigital saw revenue jump 25% in a "transformational" first half, as sales through its strategic partner network increased £1.8m over the previous half and set it on track to meet full-year expectations.
Dotdigital saw revenue grow to £18.77m from the £14.98m posted a year earlier. Organic revenue grew 17% to £17.5m.

Revenue from the US jumped around 44% to $3.3m, driven by channel partners and system integrations into the likes of Magento and Shopify, the company said.

Its costly expansion into the Asia-Pacific region began to bear fruit, with revenue from the region soaring about 75% to AUD $0.9m from the AUD $0.5m in the first half of the previous financial year.

EBITDA rose 8% year-on-year to £5.7m, while pre-tax profits moved ahead to £4.35m from £4.28m.

After an expenditure of £13.1m, mainly due to its £10.7m acquisition of Comapi, an omnichannel messaging and cloud communications business, Dotdigital's net cash balance fell to £10.49m from £18.92m at the end of 2017.

Chief exeutive Milan Patel said: "These results show Dotdigital is making good progress. We are expanding and strengthening the platform which underpins our growth while continuing to grow our presence in international markets."

"We're also delighted to have further cemented our partnerships with Magento, Shopify, Microsoft and our other partners, which demonstrates their trust in our ability to drive revenue for their customers through our platform."

As of 1120 GMT, shares had fallen off 12.09% to 83.51p.
