LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Pets at Home's finance chief purchased two tranches of shares in the company he helps to manage.
On 16 March, he picked up 13,536 shares at a price of 184.4p, followed by another 32,460 the next day at 184.2p.

In total, he pocketed out £84,771, the company said in a statement.

Roughly two months before, on 19 January, the company posted a 4.4% rise in group revenues to £203.7m, with group like-for-like revenue growth of 0.1%, reflecting continued strong growth in veterinary services, offset by more subdued trading across the Merchandise business.

That was followed by a price target reduction to 200p out of HSBC on 20 February, from 230p.

The broker's analysts hailed the firm's price investment strategy, saying it was the "right thing to do" but that it created forecast uncertainty, with upfront costs for potential rewards.
