LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Investors' attention on Thursday will be trained on the U.S. where raft of economic indicators were due out.




Key among them would be the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's regional manufacturing sector index for the month of November, at 1330 GMT.

Also due out were readings for import prices, industrial production and weekly jobless claims.

At least five top officials were slated to take to the podium over the course of the day, starting with the vice chair for supervision Michael Barr, from 1210 GMT.

On the corporate side of things, Burberry will post its first half results on Thursday morning.

At the time of its first quarter results presentation, the luxury fashion outfit left its full-year guidance for low double-digit sales growth.

Its shares had taken a pummeling since April on the back of a sharp slowdown in demand in all its markets - especially in China.

However, it was the decline in its U.S. sales that disappointed most, said Michael Hewson, chief market analyst at CMC Markets UK.

Reports from rivals of sharp slowdowns in luxury spending also appeared to weigh on the entire sector, Hewson added.
