LONDON (ShareCast) - Public transport company Stagecoach has extended its contract with Personal Group for a new employee benefits programme.

Personal Group, which provides employee benefits and insurance in Britain, said it will continue to offer its services to employees in Stagecoach’s UK bus division.

Under the new three-year contract, the company will provide the programme to an extra 4,000 employees.

The programme will be available to all 24,000 of Stagecoach's bus division employees across the UK.

Stagecoach employees will receive access to a bespoke online portal, as well as a benefit book, offering thousands of retail discounts across numerous well known high street shops.

The staff will also receive an employee assistance programme, which includes guidance and support on a range of personal and work-related issues.

Personal Group will roll out the programme through face-to-face meetings.

Stagecoach UK Bus Managing Director Robert Montgomery said: "Our staff are the key to everything we do and the success of our business is down to the hard work of our employees at every level across the UK.

“We hope this programme of benefits will be of use to them as well as demonstrating that we value their contribution in helping to deliver greener, smarter bus services to millions of people every day."

Personal Group’s shares rose 0.38% to 401p at 12:09 on Thursday.
