LONDON (ShareCast) - Personal Group has revealed that its long-running Finance Director will step down from the board after 23 years with the AIM-listed financial services firm.
Personal Group, which specialises in employee benefits and employee related insurance products, said that John Barber will retire at the annual general meeting in April.
Barber, a chartered accountant, joined the company in 1991 and was appointed to the board in 2000.
Chief Executive Mark Scanlon said that Barber has played an “important role in the development of the group”.
“John's input over many years of growth for the group has been invaluable, and an orderly handover is now underway in advance of his departure in June,” he said.
The company said that Mike Dugdale will continue his role as Chief Financial Officer following his appointment to the board in January 2013.
