LONDON (ShareCast) - Smoke and carbon monoxide detector maker Sprue Aegis alerted the market to the prospect of higher-than-expected annual underlying profits on Thursday.
Sprue, whose brands include FireAngel, First Alert and Pace Sensors among others, said an ongoing strong financial performance since its first-half results in September had culminated in record sales and profits in October.
It said it expected profits in the year to the end of December, before one-off AIM costs of £500,000 in the first half of 2014, should be above market hopes, based on current orders and provided that products are built and shipped on time.
"The company will provide a further update on trading and prospects in January 2015," Sprue added in a trading update.
