LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - London Stock Exchange announced the departure of the head of its Refinitiv business four months after the $27bn acquisition completed.
David Craig, chief executive of Refinitiv and group head of data and analytics, will leave LSE at the end of 2021. He will be replaced as head of data and analytics by Andrea Remyn Stone on 1 July. She is currently chief product officer for data and analytics.

Craig will work as an adviser to the group after putting a smooth transition in place, LSE said. He was the company's CEO when it split off from Reuters in 2018 and oversaw the sale of the business to LSE announced in 2019.

LSE completed the acquisition of Refinitiv at the end of January in a move intended to turn it into a data provider to rival Bloomberg. Investors have grown concerned about LSE's ability to cut costs and spur growth following the purchase and in April the business suffered a two-hour interruption of its services.

David Schwimmer, LSE's chief executive, said: "I want to thank David for his partnership in driving the acquisition to completion and his valuable contribution to the integration, which is progressing at pace. I am delighted we have a world class executive of Andrea's calibre to further develop our data, analytics and index capabilities.

"With credit to David, he took a long term view when he first recruited Andrea. Her appointment reflects the leadership bench strength in place across LSEG and our emphasis on developing strong talent."
