LONDON (ShareCast) - The British firm that says it has created an erection sustaining condom has fallen out with its marketing partner, Reckitt Benckiser, forcing it to go ahead with production on its own.

Futura Medical says it was unable to find: “common ground acceptable to both parties in respect of their continued development and commercialisation of the CSD500 condom.”

Surrey based Futura now says it will take control of the manufacturing process on its own while it casts around for other potential partners.

The group’s Chief Executive, James Barder, said: "Futura has received considerable interest in CSD500 from potential marketing partners. We are therefore confident of relicensing the product on attractive commercial terms and of creating significant value for shareholders."

The market was less than happy with the news. Futura's stock is down 19% at 11:31.
