LONDON (ShareCast) - The hiring of mining veteran Michael Foster by AIM-listed Premier African Minerals has been hailed by analysts at Shore Capital.
Foster, who founded AIM-quoted ZincOx Resources and is a current director at privately-owned Congo-focused Casa Mining, was appointed a non-executive director of Premier with immediate effect.
Premier, which has a multi-commodity focus with mineral projects located in Southern and Western Africa, said Foster's arrival was especially timely in light of its RHA Tungsten being less than 16 weeks from anticipated first production.
Executive chairman George Roach said the experience Foster brings fitted Premier's profile "admirably", based on his success in challenging environments, project development from initiation to production and finding innovative financial solutions.
Shore Capital applauded the appointment, especially in that Foster "has had success finding funding in challenging environments".
