LONDON (ShareCast) - The share price of Windar Photonics plunged on Friday after the wind turbine technology group warned of a "material revenue shortfall" in 2015.
The AIM outfit said it has seen some delays related to expanding and educating the service and installations team operated by its distribution partners in Asia.
As such, the group has seen delays in growing sales in the Asian retrofit market over the first five months of 2015, which it expects will continue over the second half.
Windar said the revenue shortfall "will have a consequentially material adverse effect on the group sales and losses for the current year ending 31 December 2015.
"However, the directors believe the issues are of a short-term nature and remain confident of the outlook for sales in Asia in the mid to long term."
The stock was down 8.2% at 137.87p by 09:06.
