LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - LondonMetric Property directors sold more than £1.5m-worth of shares in the company, which on Wednesday declared a first quarterly interim dividend of 1.8p a share.
The ex-dividend date was 1 September, with the record date being 2 September and the dividend payment date diaried for 7 October.

In addition, LondonMetric said it intended to put in place a scrip dividend scheme to allow applicable shareholders to elect to receive new shares in lieu of a cash dividend via a scrip dividend alternative.

"It is intended that the scheme will apply to the first quarterly dividend," the company said.

Chief executive Andrew Jones sold 460,646 shares at 164.73p for a total of £758,822.16.

Asset director Mark Sterling and investment director Valentine Beresford each sold 249,397 shares at 164.73p apiece, the pair netting £410,831 each.

In June, LondonMetric granted options over a total of 2.2m shares under its long-term incentive plan, with 489,230 more shares granted to satsify bonuses. Jones, Stirling and Beresford were all granted shares at this time, among others.
