LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - The founder and chief executive officer of musical instruments and equipment retailer Gear4music enjoyed a £12m payday on Monday, after he sold 1.65 million shares in the company.
Andrew Wass sold the holding, representing 7.9% of the AIM-traded company, at 730p per share.

In a statement to the market, the firm said the sale was to "satisfy existing market demand".

Following the sale, Wass held 4,701,593 shares in Gear4music, representing 22.4% of its issued share capital, down from 30.3%.

"It is intended that the sale shares will be offered to certain institutional investors," Gear4music said on Monday morning.
