LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - The Gym Group revealed on Friday that chief executive Richard Darwin had disposed of 325,000 ordinary shares in the London-listed gym operator.

Darwin, who took over as CEO of the Gym Group in September 2018, sold the shares on Thursday at an average price of 278.46p each, for a total value of £904,995.01.

The CEO's wife Charlotte Darwin also offloaded 25,000 ordinary shares in the firm, also at an average price of 278.46p each, collecting £69,615 as a result.

Following the sales, Darwin retains a "substantial interest" over 721,760 ordinary shares in the Gym Group, having not sold any shares in the company, other than to meet tax and national insurance liabilities, since the stock's IPO in 2015.

As of 1630 BST, Gym Group shares were up 0.18% at 283.0p.
