LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - AIM-listed software company Blue Prism has agreed to be taken over by US fintech SS&C Technologies for £1.24bn in cash.
SS&C's offer trumps an earlier offer from US private equity firm Vista at £1.22bn.
Under the terms of the deal, Blue Prism shareholders will receive 1,275p a share.
The board of Blue Prism had initially backed the offer from Vista, which was sweetened from an initial £1.1bn.
However, the company said on Wednesday: "In evaluating the SS&C offer, the directors of Blue Prism have considered various aspects of the SS&C offer and consider the SS&C offer to represent a superior offer for Blue Prism's shareholders as compared with the Vista offer."
