LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Podcast producer and distributor Audioboom confirmed two new shows on Friday, having announced them at the Interactive Advertising Bureau's first 'Podcast Upfronts' event on Thursday.
The AIM-traded firm said its new talent-driven programming included 'Sue Perkins: An Hour or so with...', which would make its debut as part of the Audioboom Originals Network on 10 October.

It said the new show would see Sue Perkins invite special guests for an "intimate chat" about their lives and passions, as they stripped away formalities and indulged in "some good old-fashioned conversation".

Launching on 31 October, meanwhile, was 'The Greatest Game' with Jamie Carragher.

The Liverpool FC "legend" would interview "some of the biggest stars" from football, alongside a collection of famous non-footballing personalities about their lives, asking each interviewee about the greatest game they ever played or witnessed.

Audioboom said that, as it continued to grow within the UK market, it was also announcing the promotion of Shaun Wilson to the role of UK head of sales.

Wilson would focus on facilitating opportunities for major brands to connect with audiences through host-endorsed advertising from the UK's strongest podcasting talent.

"We're so excited to be working on these new shows with both Sue and Jamie - each show is packed full of engaging entertainment and I can't wait for people to hear them," said Audioboom's UK head of content Mike Newman.

"We are delighted to have attracted such high-calibre talent."
