LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Medical imaging technology company Polarean Imaging has delivered and installed its latest research unit order for a '9820 Xenon Polariser' system from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, it announced on Tuesday.
The AIM-traded firm said the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics was the state's only comprehensive academic medical centre, being an 811-bed hospital that annually admitted around 37,000 patients for inpatient hospital care.
It said the total number of its polarisers that were either installed or on order remained 25.
"I am delighted that we have delivered and installed another polariser, to be used by pulmonology researchers at this well-regarded teaching hospital," said chief executive officer Richard Hullihen.
"The University of Iowa has a long history in medical imaging research and we are excited at the prospect of beginning a new chapter in hyperpolarized xenon cardiopulmonary imaging with them."
