LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Amigo Holdings revealed on Thursday that chief executive Gary Jennison had acquired 500,000 ordinary shares in the London-listed guarantor loans provider.
Jennison, who was appointed to Amigo's board back in August, purchased the shares at an average price of 9.55p each, for a total value of £47,750.

Back in August, Amigo said it had enough liquidity to survive as the troubled guarantor lender reported a sharp fall in first-quarter profit.

Profit after tax for the three months to the end of June dropped 81% to £3m from a year earlier as revenue fell 32% to £48.8m.

Amigo stopped new lending in March because of the Covid-19 crisis but said it was preparing to restart lending by the end of 2020.

As of 1630 BST, Amigo shares were up 1.41% at 10.10p.
