LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Intellectual property investment group Hipgnosis Songs has acquired 70% of the music publishing catalogue of artist and producer Mark Ronson.
The FTSE 250-listed group snapped up the 315 song catalogue of Ronson - best known for his collaborations with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars - on Thursday for an undisclosed amount.
Hipgnosis founder Merck Mercuriadis said: "Mark has been amongst the most exciting creators in the world over the last 20 years co-writing and producing records for the most important artists of their time.
"I have been an admirer ever since 'Stop Me' and it's an honour welcoming him and Brandon to the Hipgnosis Family."
As of 0900 BST, Hipgnosis shares were up 0.50% 100.50p.
