LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Ticketing platform operator Trainline said on Thursday that it had delivered a "strong" first-half performance, driven by new product launches and brand campaigns.
Trainline stated group net ticket sales had risen 17% year-on-year to £2.2bn, reflecting a solid post-Covid industry recovery across Europe, while group revenues rose 28% versus the same period in the 2020 trading year to £165.0m.

The FTSE 250-listed group said UK consumer ticket sales reached 95% of pre-Covid levels at £1.4bn, supported by rail industry passenger volume recovery, while international consumer ticket sales were up 81% on 2019's figure at £452.0m, in part driven by a notable resurgence of global inbound customers from the US.

Trainline also reconfirmed its improved guidance expectations for the full year, with net ticket sales and revenues seen 18-27% and 22-31% higher on 2019, respectively, and adjusted underlying earnings as a percentage of net ticket sales forecast to be between 1.9% and 2.1%.
