LONDON (ShareCast) - IT managed services provider Redcentric has won a new contract with the NHS worth at least £5m through the government's GCloud online tendering portal.
The AIM-listed company said the two-year contract would help the unnamed NHS 'partner', with which it is already working on another contract, manage its 'big data' more easily.
Redcentric said it would provide: "A unique solution engineered for application performance, providing fast processing and quicker application deployment, making its big data more manageable", together with providing a range of services including networking services and virtual desktop infrastructure.
Redcentric Chief Executive Tony Weaver said the addition of a further contract with an existing partner was a weighty endorsement.
"This is the latest in a series of significant multi-year contract wins as Redcentric continues to be seen as the managed services provider of choice."
Shares in Redcentric were up 0.43% to 118p at 15:17 on Thursday.
