AGL Overview
AGL Energy is a gas and electricity retailer. AGL consists of a substantial portfolio of wholesale energy contracts and assets. The company has been operating in Australia for 170 years and has recently invested in sustainable energy businesses in Victoria’s High Country, Australia. The group holds its existing energy retail, power generation and upstream gas assets together with an initial 33% interest in AlintaAGL's retail and cogeneration business. It has the option to increase its interest in AlintaAGL to 100% over five years.
