London close: Stocks buoyed by solid economic data

(Sharecast News) - London stocks ended Thursday on a positive note, buoyed by data confirming expected growth in the UK economy for the second quarter.
The FTSE 100 index rose 0.8% to close at 8,347.35 points, while the FTSE 250 gained 0.68% to end the session at 21,094.16 points.
