(Sharecast News) - London's stock markets closed lower on Friday, weighed down by a mix of declining consumer confidence and recent central bank rate decisions.
The FTSE 100 index fell 1.19% to finish at 8,229.99 points, while the more domestically-focussed FTSE 250 dropped 1.56% to 20,831.84 points.
