Apple launches new MacBook air, iPad Air and Mac Mini

(Sharecast News) - Apple launched a new MacBook Air laptop after the tech giant's desktop computer sales in the last quarter fell to their lowest in the last eight years.
The new MacBook Air, costing £1,199, will replace the original model and feature upgraded products, the company said in a launch event in Brooklyn. The laptop features a retina display screen with a 13.3-inch display.

At the event the Apple also launched its new iPad Pro tablet with its Face ID unlocking technology and no home button.

An upgraded Mac Mini desktop computer was also launched, with a minimum four-cour processor, costing £799.

The iPad's new design follows Apple's latest designs for the iPhone XS to reduce the width of the frame of the screens and eliminate the home button.

The launch come two days ahead of the company's quarterly results on Thursday. On average, analysts from FactSet expect the tech giant to post September quarter revenue of $61.43 bn (up 17% annually) and GAAP EPS of $2.78 (up 34%).
