Thruvision inks 'strategically important' contracts with US clients

(Sharecast News) - Screening technology provider Thruvision has scored two new strategically important contract awards totalling $3.1m.
Thruvision's new contracts with the US State Department's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs and Los Angeles World Airports will see $2.3m be delivered to the group in 2020, with the balance to be booked as support revenue in future years.

Following a small order in early 2019, the INL awarded Thruvision a framework purchasing agreement, including an initial equipment order for immediate delivery to "a central American host nation".

Secondly, Los Angeles World Airports, which operates Los Angeles International Airport, ordered a small number of units from the AIM-listed group in order to "provide a new layer of employee security screening".

Chief executive Colin Evans said: "Having been vetted and approved by the TSA for use in the mass transportation market, we are delighted to see a growing number of leading US government organisations recognising the proven performance of our technology.

"These awards firmly establish Thruvision in the US border control and aviation security markets and provide invaluable reference points for the broader international market."

As of 1105 BST, Thruvision shares had climbed 7.59% to 30.12p.
