Platinum Equity not making offer for AA

(Sharecast News) - Platinum Equity said on Wednesday that talks with the board of roadside assistance company and insurer AA have ended "by mutual agreement" and that it does not plan to make an offer for the business.
The AA announced in early August that it had been approached by Centerbridge Partners Europe and TowerBrook Capital Partners acting jointly, Platinum Equity Advisors, and Warburg Pincus International about possible cash offers for the company.

At 0810 BST, AA shares down 14% at 29.20p.
