(Sharecast News) - TI Fluid Systems' chief executive Bill Kozyra will step down later this year and hand over to company insider Hans Dieltjens.

Kozyra has run the automotive fluid storage group since 2012 and will stand down in the fourth quarter. Dieltjens, who heads TI's fuel tank and delivery systems division, will become chief operating officer on 1 March to prepare for the CEO's job. He will join the board when Kozyra retires.

Kozyra joined TI at the height of the financial crisis and led the company through that upheaval and to a flotation in 2017. He also developed the company's electrification strategy in response to the rise of hybrid and electric vehicles.

Dieltjens has 25 years of automotive experience and a master's degree in electro/mechanical engineering, TI said. The company said it considered several high calibre candidates before giving him the job.

Kozyra said: I could not be prouder of the tremendous success the company has achieved, especially navigating through two global crises while also developing exciting new products for the emerging electric vehicle market.

"During the 12 years that Hans and I have worked together he has continued to develop his leadership and strategic ability and is now ready to take on this very important role for our company."
