Xi threatens foreign forces with retaliation if they bully China

(Sharecast News) - China's President Xi Jinping warned foreign forces on Thursday against bullying China or they will "get their heads bashed".
In a long-hour speech from Tiananmen Square to mark the centenary since the founding of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi also hailed a "new world" created by his people.

He also pledged to build up China's military, committed to the "reunification" of Taiwan and said social stability would be ensured in Hong Kong while protecting China's security and sovereignty.

"We must accelerate the modernisation of national defense and the armed forces," said Xi.

Xi's speech also went through the history of the CCP from its origins in Shanghai in 1921, to its place today. He said the party had achieved the goal of building a "moderately prosperous society in all respects" and claimed to have eradicated poverty.

"We eliminated the exploitative feudal system that had persisted in China for thousands of years and established socialism.

"The people of China are not only good at destroying the old world, they have also created a new world," said Xi. "Only socialism can save China."

Xi added that the people of China would never allow any foreign force to "preach sanctimoniously", bully, oppress, or subjugate them.

"We will not accept sanctimonious preaching from those who feel they have the right to lecture us," he said. "We have never bullied, oppressed, or subjugated the people of any other country, and we never will.

"Anyone who dares try to do that will have their heads bashed bloody against the Great Wall of steel forged by over 1.4 billion Chinese people."
