FTSE 250 movers: Indivior jumps on results; Drax loses power

(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 250 was 0.2% firmer in afternoon trade at 23,049.75 amid of raft of earnings news.




Opioid addiction treatment maker Indivior was the standout gainer as it reported a rise in first-half profit and announced a $100m share buyback programme.

Morgan Advanced Materials was also on the up after well-received first-half results, along with Spectris and Vesuvius.

On the downside, Pets at Home fell even after it upgraded its full-year profit expectations as it hailed "strong" sales momentum in the first quarter.

Elementis fell even after the speciality chemicals and personal care company reported a "strong" financial performance improvement in its first half, with pre-tax profit up 165%.

Ionic boot maker Dr Martens was weaker despite saying that revenues surged in the first quarter, with trading "slightly" ahead of its expectations and growth across all regions.

Power generation company Drax was down even as it said it had experienced a "great" first half of the year, and lifted its interim dividend.
