Applied Materials CFO Dan Durn leaves to join Adobe

(Sharecast News) - Applied Materials announced on Friday that senior vice president and chief financial officer Dan Durn is leaving the company on 15 October to become CFO at Adobe.
Former CFO Bob Halliday has been appointed to the role on interim basis until a successor is in place.
President and chief executive officer Gary Dickerson said: "Over the past four years, Dan has made substantial contributions to Applied as we have delivered strong, profitable growth."
Durn will be succeeding John Murphy, whose retirement from Adobe was announced earlier this year.
Adobe president and CEO Shantanu Narayen said: "Dan has decades of experience in the technology industry and his extensive expertise in finance, operations and global strategy make him the ideal choice to drive Adobe's continued growth and profitability.
"I'd like to thank John Murphy for his many contributions to Adobe's success and wish him well in his retirement."
