FTSE 250 movers: Lancashire shares slide; Renishaw surges

(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 250 was down 0.1% at 22,950.15 in afternoon trade on Thursday.
Lancashire Holdings slid as it said it expects net ultimate losses of between $165m and $185m from natural catastrophes including Hurricane Ida, and European storms Bernd, Volker and Xero.
Online greeting cards retailer Moonpig slumped after shareholders placed 30m shares, or a stake of around 8.8%, in the company.
According to Bloomberg, the shares were placed at 328p each by holders Exponent Private Equity LLP, LCP VIII Holdings LP, Strategic Partners VII Investments, Aberdeen Standard Investments, LGT Capital Partners, GoldPoint Partners, and K Athena Investments No 40.
Going the other way, engineer Renishaw surged after reporting a jump in annual profit and saying it had been "a positive year of recovery.".
Vivo Energy gained as it said that having delivered 114 net new sites so far this year, it now expects to exceed the top of its previous guidance range by more than 20%, by adding between 130-140 net new sites in 2021.
Property group Shaftesbury was lifted by an upgrade to 'buy' from 'hold' at Liberum following its trading update late on Wednesday.
The broker also upped its price target on the shares by 9% to 680p, noting that they now stand at a discount of around 4% to spot NTA versus a 14% premium for the UK REIT sector, "which in our view does not reflect the improved outlook for occupational demand".
